• SIWC Short Story Contest Winner

    Well, now I can say this (I was sworn to secrecy, as far as mentioning this online is concerned): I am this year’s winner of the Surrey International Writers Conference Storyteller’s Award, for my short story “The Mower’s Trial.”

    Life is good.

      It was a great conference this year. I try to bookend each year of my writing with it. The contacts and networking alone make it invaluable–the workshops are just a bonus.

      Thank you for you comments on my story. It was much fun to write, and to think about the ideas that went into it.
